How long do the sessions take?

Our newborn sessions take approximately 3 hours while maternity session and family session are usually 1-2 hours. You will not be charged if your session goes over time, as we aim to provide you with a variety of images.

 

Do you have an assistant?

Sometimes I will be able to bring an assistant to your shoot to help set-up, hold reflectors and assist in a variety of ways. This will be provided at no additional charge, but is not always available. Image quality will not differ if the assistant is available or not.

 

Can I request a certain pose/image to be captured?

Absolutely! If there is any particular image/style you would like to replicate please let me know. If this requires a particular prop please let me know beforehand.

 

What should I wear?

For all shoots, please wear something you are comfortable in. Where possible, please avoid prints and logos on your clothing.

 

How long will it take to see the images?

Following your shoot, I will upload a 'sneak peek' within a few days on our facebook page. Following that, you will recieve your disc of images in 1-2 weeks, prints may take longer. You will not recieve any images until payment is made in full.

 

Do you bring your props with you to newborn sessions?

All blankets, baskets, wraps, beanies ect I bring with me to your session. I usually work with a warm neutral colour scheme, but if you'd prefer a specific colour scheme let me know beforehand. We have a range of props available, however if there's anything significant you would like to include in the shoot, such as a wedding ring or an item their previous children had been photographed with we can definitely do that for you.

 

Does it matter if my house isn't very big for the newborn sessions?

All I need to accomplish a successful newborn session is a little space near a window. I will be using a reflector to bounce light back onto your baby or a continuous lighting softbox to eliminate any harsh shadows. Don't stress if you house is cluttered or messy, you've just had a baby afterall. If any furniture is needed to be moved I will ensure that I put everything back in its place prior to leaving.
